"Thank you for your warm welcome, cake (scrummy!) and VERY fresh eggs! We've had a super time in your charming cottage, so beautifully fitted out, comfortable beds, clean, cosy, well equipped etc etc. This is going to take some beating. Stunning scenery on our walks, The Bog, Long Mynd, Stiperstones ... Great pubs, especially the Three Tuns at Bishops Castle, excellent beers! (Running out of superlatives). To top it all, perfect Spring weather. We'll be back." Walkmill Lodge April 2010

"We've had a lovely restful holiday here with a nice mix of eating in and eating out. We enjoyed the Sunday Carvery at the 'Inn On The Green' and the homemade pies at the 'The Crown'. Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the towns especially Ludlow, Church Stretton and Bishops Castle. The Shropshire Hills Centre at Craven Arms is a nice place for a short walk or lunch break. Lovely views from the Castle Gardens at the Castle Hotel in Bishops Castle. "We have had a wonderful holiday here. The lodge has been so warm and welcoming and so was the welcome from Gilly. We have really loved it here! We hope to come back if Dad's health holds. One tip if you are disabled and plan to visit Shrewsbury use the Shopmobility Service there. Follow the signs for Shopmobility which takes you to Raven Meadows Car Park. Disabled parking bays are available on level one. Telephone 01743 236900. You can book in advance but we called in on the hop. It was £2 for a manual wheelchair and £3 for a powered vehicle. You are also entitled to a parking concession (and a reserved parking space). Take the lift to Floor 7 which is the Darwin Shopping Centre. I have pinned some leaflets to the notice board which shows a map with dropped kerbs on and more info. The car park is next to the bus station. Other places we enjoyed were Clun, Ludlow especially St. Laurence's Church and the Castle (don't eat at the Bull Ring Pub the food was horrible!). The Acton Scott Historic Working Farm was very interesting. We saw spinning demo and how to make butter. Not brilliant for wheelchairs though. Wightwick Manor and Gardens is a real treat especially if you are interested in pre-raphaelite art and the Arts and Crafts Movement. We loved it here! Dinham Mill is interesting with its waterwheel and a nice cafe. Pretty to wonder around. We recommend 'The Crown' for its lovely pies. Many thanks." Walkmill Lodge October 2010

"Comfortable, well equipped house in an idyllic location.  Greatly enjoyed our walks on the Long Mynd, the Stiperstones, Wenlock Edge and the Wrekin - also Gilly's lovely cake and eggs from the pretty hens.  Stanley hurt his paws on the Stiperstone rocks - so dog owners beware!" Walkmill House October 2010

"We have all thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas Holiday in this very roomy cottage - enough room for all of us (even the bike).  Your recommendations in the House Book have all been good, we have sampled the fare in the local pubs and have been pleased with them all.  We enjoyed our Christmas lunch at The Bottle And Glass.  We should return in the summer to see the countryside without snow”  Cottage to be recommended.  Thank you."
